As usual, before glassing I wetted out the contact area. |
I cut 2 sheets of fiberglass about 4.5' X 8.5' (to provide overlap, since the transom is cut
from a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood). |
The first layer is put up and I started wetting it out. |

Now the fiberglass is completely saturated with epoxy. |
I squeezed as much epoxy out of the fiberglass as possible, too much epoxy does
not increase the strength and only adds extra weight. |

The second layer of biaxial fiberglass has now been installed on the transom. |
The motorwell area was cut out with a knife after the epoxy hardened. |
